GENTE JOVEN POR UN CAMBIO, A.C. was founded in 2012 by Mr. Bill Ash and Mrs. Onagh Ash. They were motivated by their love for the young people in the community of Los Cabos.
The association’s mission is to empower children and young people ages 10 to 17 so that they can use their own ideas and skills to create social change in the community.
During the school year, Saturday workshops are held in public schools in San Jose del Cabo, Cabo San Lucas and La Paz. Groups of young people are provided with the tools, resources, support and direction that allow them to stop being spectators and become leaders.
These workshops are led by coaches, mainly university students and professionals, who receive the necessary training to have a positive impact on the children and adolescents with whom they work.
The nonprofit association develops strength and confidence in young people so they can make better decisions and consider all their possibilities.
