Last Thursday, July 25, a press conference was held at the H+ Hospital to publicize the results of the 5th Jornada Unidos de Corazon thanks to the commitment and help of organizations like Corazon de Niño, Amigos de Los Niños and H+ Hospital, in which they are looking to provide kids with a lifetime opportunity to continue their path.
20 procedures were performed helping 18 infants in the 5 municipalities of the State, with procedures such as open-heart surgery, catheterization, and cardiac ablation.
Two and a half years ago, this very important work began and today has had an impact on the lives of 90 children and their families. This demonstrates the organizations’ commitment to society.
In other news, the program of diagnosis of heart disease in clinics has benefited more than one hundred children for detection and diagnosis, where children were given treatments such as 1-year old Laura who was treated immediately.
On the other hand, the strategy they have with public schools allowed the principal and mother of one of the students to attend to her daughter Samantha on time. These types of measures have made an impact so that more children receive diagnoses and, if necessary, treatments.
The press conference was attended by Audelia Villareal, Director of Corazon de Niño AC, Gay Thatcher, Director of Amigos de Los Niños, Dr. Humberto Rodriguez, Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgeon and Mr. Paulino Davo, General Director of the H + Hospital, among other personalities.
The total cost of the work carried out by these foundations it’s up to 26 million pesos, which have been used to contribute, donate and change the lives of children and families.
All this work has been possible thanks to all donors, who have believed in the project and are part of that chain of love.
