Doorway to meeting tourism
La Paz is an integral part of a destination that offers natural beauty, ecotourism, marine access, delicious dining, sports and culture. Now, it has earned its way into the world of Meeting Tourism. La Paz hosted the XIII Annual Congress of the Mexico Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI Mexico), the largest association in the meetings and events industry in Latin America.
June 2 – 5, the recently opened International Convention Center of La Paz (ICC La Paz) was the setting for conferences, panels, interviews and workshops given by specialists from Mexico, Colombia, Canada, USA, Uruguay and Ecuador. More than 250 experts shared their experiences, knowledge, and made alliances to promote professionalism in the meetings industry.
The Annual Congress of Mexico Chapter MPI was the starting point for promoting the Sudcalifornian capital as a competitive destination for conferences of international stature. The congress represented the favorable economic development of Baja California Sur.
Likewise, congress attendees enjoyed the kindness and attractiveness that La Paz offers incentive groups, both medium and long-term. Meeting Planners from North and Central America enjoyed the beauty of the La Paz beaches, exquisite dishes, and fell in love with the sunsets characteristic of the destination. All of which the planners can share with their clients.
In addition to an extraordinary Convention Center with more than 140,000 thousand square feet and the capacity for up to 4,200 attendees, La Paz has a privileged location. The nearby Los Cabos International Airport connects the area to the world, and soon, international hospitality brands will be opening even more hotel rooms.
The heart of Baja California Sur is brimming with potential. In every sense, La Paz offers the diverse world of meetings and conferences everything it could want.
