The Los Cabos Hotel Association supports the 9th edition of the Los Cabos International Film Festival.
The Los Cabos International Film Festival has made the international news. That makes us proud. We can easily remember back to November of 2012 when this dream came true. The event successfully linked Mexican filmmakers with members of the movie industry from other parts of the world, especially from our continent, Latin America to the south and all the way to the north with the United States and Canada.
It was a moment that made it possible to screen 80 films from 18 countries to more than 6000 guests. It also showed the world that Los Cabos was a cultural destination for film.
All of us who are part of this project are motivated to keep it growing every year. We are pleased to be festival promoters. It compliments us as a destination and as community members. We also see how it benefits other parts of the economy. Hotels shine with venues that amaze celebrities and filmmakers. Outdoor activities captivate visitors and, of course, the food leaves happy palates.
All these factors added together has helped Los Cabos become an international showcase of artists of great stature. That achievement needs to be recognized. It continues to have an important economic impact on the community of Los Cabos.
As the Los Cabos Hotel Association, we are excited to witness the progress of this event. Even though this year has been so complicated worldwide, what has been achieved through creativity and determination is enough to carry the festival forward for another year.
We are most certain that the ninth edition of the already renowned Los Cabos Film Festival will be a great success.
