Hospiten Los Cabos celebrates the joy of childbirth every year by treating mothers to a special breakfast. This heartwarming tradition, which began approximately 17 years ago with 15 moms, has now grown to an event with over 90 mothers. The breakfast, held at the Mestizo del Mar restaurant inside the Vista Encantada hotel, is a poignant gathering that symbolizes the beauty of childbirth and the strong community bond at Hospiten.
This year, the annual breakfast organized by Hospiten Los Cabos celebrated Mother’s Day at the Mestizo del Mar restaurant inside the Vista Encantada Hotel. The event had an attendance of more than 90 mothers, making it the ideal setting for this emotional gathering.
“We started to notice a significant increase in the number of babies being born at Hospiten, and we realized that we were becoming part of a new community, a family. All these people entrusted us with such an important occasion – the birth of their baby – choosing our facilities and medical care. This led to the idea of celebrating them and spending time with the mothers who make up this community and the big family that is Hospiten,” said Dalit Levanah, Assistant Director of Hospiten Cabo San Lucas and Hospiten San José del Cabo. She is proud to have attended all the breakfasts.
In addition to honoring mothers at the event, Hospiten showcased its new brand identity and introduced the new managing director of Hospiten Los Cabos, José Andrés Plasencia Díaz. The official speech also highlighted Hospiten’s collaboration with various non-profit organizations, including Los Cabos Children’s Foundation, VIFAC, Desarrollo Integral para la Familia, and Ayuda a Corazón de Niño. This partnership is a testament to Hospiten’s commitment to the local community, offering tests and procedures at no or minimal cost.
“We are currently in an exciting phase of expansion, aiming to increase our reach and serve more people in this vibrant destination. To achieve this, we are implementing various initiatives in collaboration with local partners,” announced José Andrés Plasencia at the Mother’s Day event.
Hospiten was founded in Los Cabos in 2014, but the company has over 50 years of experience, including 20 years in Mexico. The first Hospiten center in Mexico opened in Cancun, followed by Riviera Maya in 2006 and Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo, and Puerto Vallarta in 2014.
One of Hospiten’s defining characteristics is its commitment to providing the best medical equipment, ensuring it remains at the forefront of health technology. For instance, the Monalisa laser in gynecology and the radiological diagnostic service have the latest technology in equipment that allows for X-rays, ultrasounds, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance. The hospitalization area is equipped with 13 beds, 5 IVUs of which are in Cabo San Lucas, and nine beds, 2 IVUs of which are in San José del Cabo.
The Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo medical centers have two operating rooms and a critical care service. They provide specialized care in Traumatology and Orthopedics, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Cardiology, Neurosurgery, Pediatrics, Dermatology, and General and Digestive System Surgery, among other specialties.
Finally, “Our goal is to connect with the entire population of Los Cabos,” as Paola Sánchez, marketing director, emphasized during the last Mothers’ breakfast.
