On Friday, May 2nd, 2025, the press conference to announce the second edition of the Land & Building Golf Tournament, presented by DIMANOR, which will take place on May 17th at the same golf course, was held at the Club Campestre San José del Cabo facilities.
The event was attended by prominent representatives of the real estate, tourism and business sectors, who made up the praesidium: Ricardo Reyes, General Director of Land & Building; Claudia del Pino, CEO of Tendencia; Noé Juárez González, from the CROC (Confederación Revolucionaria de Obreros y Campesinos); Sergio Montaño, from Porcelanosa; Cecilia Portilla, from Building Baja’s Future; Armando Figaredo, from the Editorial Board of Land & Building; and David Araos, from Dimanor; and Roberto Molina, from WWT Championship.

“Golf is one of the most important amenities in a real estate development, because it generates constant and high-quality tourism beyond that context. We often talk about tourism and investment, but few of us look at golf, thinking it is only for foreigners or older people. The reality is different: golf creates employment opportunities, drives construction, investment and development. It generates jobs in architecture, operations, landscaping and more. From the magazine we preside, Land & Building, we saw the need to give a new impetus to golf, especially focused on attracting new generations,” said Ricardo Reyes.
This year, the beneficiary of the Land & Building 2025 Golf Tournament will be the Building Baja’s Future Foundation, reaffirming the event’s commitment to community development and wellbeing.
“We have already supported about 600 kids, and about 350 have graduated. I would love to see how they are now working for different companies. It’s not just about paying them a scholarship, it’s about training them to be people of integrity who also give back to their community. We give them compulsory English classes because they often don’t get hired without that knowledge. They also go through a three-year values programme. It’s a chain of responsible people that we can maintain thanks to Land & Building and all the sponsors. And there are still a lot of kids lined up waiting for their chance”. said Cecilia Portilla.
