Casa Don Rodrigo

The restaurant Casa Don Rodrigo is located in a beautiful antique house built in 1907 and just a few feet from the main square in downtown San Jose del Cabo. The details in the decorations have preserved part of the Don Rodrigo Aragon family heritage and give the building a vintage bohemian feel.

There are four different areas in the restaurant and each has its own ambiance. There’s the traditional Sport Bar, a relaxed Wine Bar, the “Dvur” cozy garden and an eclectic Mexican private room inside the Wine Cellar.

The cooking concept is completely organic. Four generations have worked the family cattle ranch and farm. Spices and fresh produce from the farm are transported to the kitchen of Casa Don Rodrigo.

The kitchen team at Casa Don Rodrigo creates the menu. The team members prepare inspired local dishes fused with traditional international recipes.

The Wine Cellar has about 300 labels, including wines from Argentina, Chile, Europe, Mexico and California. The variety of wines means there is a perfect pairing for any dish.

Casa Don Rodrigo serves an exclusive selection of cheeses produced in Casas Viejas Ranch, located in San Miguelito and also a property of the Aragon Family. Using artisanal techniques, the variety of cheeses range from fresh to aged for three to six months. A good wine is the ideal accompaniment.
