La Paz has captivated visitors with its splendid beaches, dazzling sunsets and, increasingly, a growing gastronomic business that brings delicious offerings from far and wide to the capital of South California.
Centrally located a few streets from the cathedral, Sorstis is the most sophisticated Mediterranean cuisine restaurant in the destination. The owners have used their 53-years of experience to create a restaurant specializing in fresh seafood.
“Sorstis is a Latin word that means good fortune. We chose the name because we want diners to leave with a big smile.” Baltazar Garcia
The menu is oriented to whether the fishing season is open or closed. In addition to locally sourced seafood, there are wine and mezcal pairing dinners, as well as monthly theme nights featuring different styles of cuisine that pair perfectly with seafood. Spanish night is a perfect example.
“Locals are very special consumers. At Sorstis, we spoil you with live music on weekends, Sunday brunch and dinner pairings with wine or tequila.”
Sorstis is celebrating five years of enchanting the most demanding palates with a varied and creative menu. There’s a spectacular variety of quality meats and a stone oven that guarantees delicious pizzas. Among the most notable dishes are the portobello with Pacific lobster, the Tatemado lamb and variations on the catch of the day. Of course, there’s always an impressive variety of fresh seafood.
