Events in Los Cabos

As an international tourist destination, Los Cabos not only offers natural beauty, exceptional weather and first-class tourist accommodations, it is also a world-class venue in different segments, including business meetings, romance, outdoor activities, religion, gastronomy and film making.

In the best of times, each of these segments faces many challenges regarding planning and execution, as well as customer satisfaction. However, 2020 has been a year like no other. The event industry has been one of the most adversely affected due to social distancing imposed by the pandemic, and not just in Baja California Sur, but the entire world.

As a result, the economic value generated by the meeting industry has fallen due to the cancellation of prior confirmed events. Suppliers of all kinds are dealing with the biggest challenge in modern history. Mandatory social distancing has created a new normal where it is not the strongest that survive, but those who can adjust faster.

Once again, Los Cabos is demonstrating a level of strength and courage that few destinations can match. Here you’ll find confidence, resilience and creativity.

As the venue of the most recent World Meeting Forum, we were put on the spot as role models. The on-site business meetings could only take place if all the safety measures and strict protocols were in place. They were. Businesses from all over the world have successfully resumed operations in this destination.

The 40th edition of the world-renowned and million-dollar Bisbee’s Black & Blue Fishing Tournament took place just like every other year. The tournament signaled the beginning of not only another tourist season, but the restarting of modern tourism in Los Cabos.

Similarly, the 9th edition of the Los Cabos International Film Festival has adapted with a revised format that will take the seventh art to the next level. The event will be 100% digital and broadcast on a global scale.

The romance segment is not far behind. Small group celebrations have adjusted to the new normal and are using spacious areas properly prepared for the occasion. Travelers are once again visiting the destination.

The challenge will undoubtedly continue in light of the current pandemic, but the event industry in Los Cabos will be relentless and give the world a lesson in resilience.
