It is with great emotion that the participation of the Los Cabos International Film Festival is announced once again in the 5th celebration of Tree Red, a civil association with the objective of expanding the recent national and international film offer to the Mexican southeast to reach various audiences in our country. For 3 years it has been based in Chetumal and Bacalar and screenings of the Rojo Tree have been held in cities such as Tulum, Calakmul, Mérida, and Morelia.
Within the framework of this alliance, the frenetic and sparkling drama that tells the story of Elvis Presley, an iconic character in the history of music in the 50s and ’60s, will be presented at the closing gala. The film explores a portrait of the famous singer’s life and music, seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker. Produced by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Baz Luhrmann.
“Elvis” had its international premiere this year at the Cannes Film Festival as part of the official selection, in a special screening out of competition.
The Los Cabos International Film Festival will present, through Warner Bros Pictures Mexico, “Elvis”, starring Austin Butler; will have a single face-to-face screening in Chetumal on Sunday, July 10 at 8:00 p.m. at Cinépolis Chetumal, before its exclusive premiere in theaters on July 14.
