Los Cabos recently participated in the 39th edition of the National Congress of the Meetings Industry (CNIR), which is the primary event for the meetings industry at the national level. The event was held in Saltillo, Coahuila from August 16-18, 2023. Through its participation, Los Cabos reinforced its position as a leading destination for developing the meetings industry in Mexico.
The National Meetings Industry Congress plays a crucial role in improving the professionalism and competitiveness of all the stakeholders involved in the value chain of the MICE industry. This congress edition was attended by over 600 key decision-makers and industry experts.
“The meetings industry represents an important engine for tourism development that requires specific conditions and services to guarantee the organization of quality events; however, today, it also seeks complementary activities that allow us to exceed the expectations of visitors, helping us to extend stays and increase economic spillover in the region. Therefore, participating in the National Congress of the Meetings Industry opens the door to generate new business opportunities and promote the positioning of Los Cabos in this sector through its catalogue of services headed by professional industry experts”, commented Rodrigo Esponda, general director of the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (FITURCA).
Rodrigo Esponda served as a board of directors member for the Mexican Council for the Meetings Industry (COMIR) during the 2023-2024 period. At the event, the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (FITURCA) actively participated in various activities that helped to reinforce its presence as a leading destination brand. Attendees received the latest information about the robust infrastructure and broad range of first-class services and experiences that Los Cabos offers, catering to the needs of this segment in both domestic and international markets.
Los Cabos actively participates in important meetings and events within the industry to promote the professionalism and training of its representatives. By collaborating with both the public and private sectors, Los Cabos fosters a culture of teamwork that benefits everyone. They prioritize these efforts to stay current with industry developments and contribute to its continued growth and success.
