DOCTUBRE MX is here to help documentaries reach more audiences and capture the interest of young viewers.
They will present in a new venue: Colegio de Bachilleres Plantel 02 de San José del Cabo.
Considering the need for more non-fiction film venues outside large cities, the company’s founders sought alternative locations in 2012. This is how DOCTUBRE MX was born. Twelve editions later, it has become the country’s largest, most significant collaborative exhibition network. This year, over 100 venues in 30 states and 12 municipalities of Mexico City will showcase the best national and international cinema.
Today, a press conference was held at the “La Esquina Choyera” restaurant for DOCTUBRE MX. The event attendees were Jesus Montaño, a producer for radio, TV, online, and mass events; Jose Alfredo Flores Sosa, the director of ICA’s linkage; Griselda Tamarillo, the director of Casa de Cultura; and Julio Trigueros, a teacher at COBACH 02.
During October, COBACH 02 will present eight documentaries every Saturday at 8:00 a.m. This program, known as “class for schoolchildren,” is aimed at young people. However, invitations extend to both high school students and the general public.
