Vote for Baja California Sur in the 6th edition of the “Best of Mexico 2024 Award”.

This season, the tourism magazine “México Desconocido” will award Mexico’s destinations, thanks to the votes of travellers.

The “Best of Mexico 2024” award celebrates our country’s natural, cultural and gastronomic richness, as well as its traditions, hospitality and diversity.

With 16 categories, you can discover the reasons why the audience chose each of the nominees. You have from March 7 to April 2, 2024!

This year, the state of Baja California Sur is nominated in the following categories:

  • Magical Town for the best beachfront experience l Nominated: Loreto
  • Best Magical Town to Celebrate an Unforgettable Wedding l Nominee: Todos Santos
  • Best Tourism Proposal in an Emerging Magical Town l Nominee: Santa Rosalía
  • Best destination to live a sidereal observation experience l Nominee: Sierra de La Laguna
  • Best state to discover its charms on the road l Nominated: Baja California Sur

For the second consecutive year, the selection of the nominees was based on the number of searches performed within the various Mexico Desconocido sites. To ensure fair voting in this contest, a committee of experts chooses the categories, taking as a reference the number of visits to these contents.

Originality and authenticity are valued, as well as aspects of the host sites such as cleanliness, care for the environment, sustainability, well-established traditions, preservation of cultural heritage, support for the local economy and tourism infrastructure.

The winners will be announced on the day of the awards ceremony during the 48th edition of Tianguis Turístico México, the most crucial event for the national tourism sector. It will occur in Acapulco, Guerrero, from April 10 to 12, 2024.
