Review:

This book presents the biography of an illustrious Sudcalifornian, an engineer, builder, teacher, thinker, idealist, inventor and communicator who collaborated in various projects, not only in this state but in all of Mexico. Don Modesto was a pioneer of reinforced concrete and participated in magnificent buildings such as the Bullring of Mexico City. His life is an inspiration and example of tenacity, perseverance and passion.

Author Biography:

Jorge Modesto Rolland Constantine was born on December 16, 1939. He is a Civil Engineer from UNAM, multilinguist, columnist and businessman. In public administration, he oversaw the Cadastre Directorate of the State of Querétaro, as well as the Engineering and Construction Directorate of the New Capital of Tanzania with the United Nations, SAHOP and the Tanzanian government. He also served as technical secretary of CICQ, and president of the VI Council of the CMIC, Qro, the Industrial Club of Qro and Construction Director of the Banamex project in Juriquilla, Qro.

He was director and manager of several construction companies in fields such as irrigation, roads, residential and commercial buildings, industrial buildings and housing, as well as a cement production technician. For 30 years, he served as the director general of the Constructora e Inmobiliaria Tlachco where he managed numerous works on roads, urbanization, industrial buildings and housing, mainly in the State of Queretaro.
