Jazz is a musical genre that arises at the end of the 19th century in the United States, in general one of its main characteristics is free improvisation. This particularity has made it popular around the world and has also allowed it to adopt various variants such as Jazz Fusion, Blues Jazz, Smooth Jazz, Funk Jazz, Brazilian Jazz and Contemporary Jazz, to name a few.
[two_first]In its eighth edition, the San José Jazz Weekend presents a total of 8 high-quality artistic groups with leading artists in the local, national and international media, including: Gabriel Hernández, Alejandro Cervantes, Sergio Hesting, Leonardo Ladrón de Guevara and many more.

For the first time, the jazz experience of the festival begins with events in some restaurants and hotels of the tourist corridor, Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, with the aim of bringing this musical rhythm to more spaces.

Alfredo Sosa, artistic director commented that both days of the festival will have the assembly of local plastic art by 36 artists, in addition, for the first-time express art workshops will be taught for children from 4 years, and will have giant puzzles of Famous paintings to assemble as a family.
As it has been incorporated in past editions, gastronomic art will be present with restaurant dishes such as: Bajo la luna, Café Cabo, Flora Farms, Gelateria Tutti, La Forchetta, La Galería, Latino 8, Mama Mia, Mango Deck, Rock & Brews, Santo & Spicy Tuna. There will also be a wine stand by Baja Wines and Tequila Cabo Unico.
