According to the Pacific Airport Group (GAP), the sanitary measures that have been implemented in the twelve airports of the group in Mexico seek to provide confidence to the passengers to avoid possible COVID-19 infections.
Raul Revuelta Musalem, CEO of GAP, announced that the airports have implemented sanitizing, health and social actions. Among them, the installation of sanitary check points that include: measuring the temperature with digital thermometers, the installation of thermal cameras, as well as visual posters and videos to follow all recommendations for personal hygiene, social distancing, and prevention against the virus.
At the same time social distancing measures are also considered. GAP maintains distance processes in all check in, bag drop off, boarding, and landing lines. Individual protection measures are being follow, such as the constant application of disinfectant to all entrance mats in each terminal and placing antibacterial gel dispenser.
Another measure that was applied to the processes is the reduction of documentation. Instead the online use of boarding passes has been promoted, among digital solutions to avoid hand contact.
