GAP team maintains training and leadership in international civil aviation

For Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP), security is not only of great importance in aviation but must also be compatible with the passenger experience. It must be composed of machinery and technology that provide a more fluid and safe operation, added to the friendly service of the personnel that works throughout the value chain, preventing security from being invasive or annoying.

Every year GAP organizes one of the most important civil aviation security events in the world, the GAP Security Symposium, with participants from 22 different countries in its eleventh edition.

Present at the opening of the event were Raúl Revuelta Musalem, CEO of Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico; Fernando Ojeda Aguilar, Undersecretary of Tourism, on behalf of the Governor; Javier Borredá García, director of Segurilatam; Homero Montaño Angulo, councilor of the City Council of La Paz, on behalf of the Municipal President; Miguel Ángel Ocampo Cornejo, Security Director of the Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC); and Paola Olivo Moreno, administrator of the La Paz International Airport.

“Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico continued to show its commitment to safety despite the pandemic. GAP believed in Mexico, it believed in Baja California Sur, it believed in everything that this great country gives us today”, commented the general director of GAP, Raúl Revuelta Musalem.

Close to 300 specialists met in person and three thousand virtually in La Paz, Baja California Sur to train, analyze and propose actions in the face of security risks.

The Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico was congratulated for its outstanding initiative to promote areas of aviation, safety, and flow above the clouds, and for being a strategic partner for tourism in Baja California Sur.
