The Blue Flag was raised at Kanna Beach in Paradisus Los Cabos Hotel during the Blue Flag presentation ceremony today.
The “Blue Flag” award is an international recognition granted to beaches and marinas that achieve standards of excellence in water quality, environmental management and education, safety, and multiple services, with strict control of verification and monitoring.
The distinguished hotel is in front of the newly certified beach, offering an unobstructed and stunning view of the Gulf of California. The presence of beautiful tropical gardens enhances the charm of the place.
Guests could witness the moment officials raised the flag through a small ceremony honouring the certification act. Some could even wave their flags, brought to celebrate the new recognition.
“Having this recognition is like putting icing on the cake for all our effort and motivation to keep the beach space clean. For us, we continue to work to keep it in prime, and we are proud that all our collaborators keep an eye on the cleanliness of all areas.” Erika Yasmin Patlan Camá, the Hotel Paradisus Los Cabos General Manager, commented.
Attendees at the event were: Erika Yasmin Patlan Camá, General Manager of Hotel Paradisus Los Cabos; Diego Díaz Hernández, Director of Operations and Finance of FEE Mexico; Rebeca Sánchez Mijangos, Sustainability Manager of FEE Mexico; Víctor Manuel Torres García, Municipal Operational Coordinator of ZOFEMAT of the H. XIV Ayuntamiento de Los Cabos; Inés Arcadia Castro Castro Castro, responsible for beach certification of the municipal coordination of ZOFEMAT of the H.XIV Ayuntamiento de Los Cabos, and Maria Alondra Zambrano Ruiz, Coordinator of Sustainable Tourism Melía Hoteleres, International Pacific region.
