Los Cabos, Mexico’s most exclusive tourist destination, will participate in the International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR) 2025, which will take place from 22-26 January 2025 in Madrid. This participation represents a key opportunity to strengthen its positioning as a first class destination, highlighting its varied offer in luxury tourism, gastronomy, adventure and wellness.
In this edition, 13 companies from Los Cabos, including hotels, DMCs and service providers, will be present in the Los Cabos Pavilion, where they will showcase the richness and diversity of their tourism proposal. During the fair, the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (FITURCA) will hold more than 60 strategic meetings with key business partners, while the rest of the Los Cabos committee will hold approximately 400 appointments during the three-day event. In addition, 10 meetings will be held with specialised media to strengthen the presence of Los Cabos in the Spanish market.
As part of its promotional strategy, Los Cabos will host an exclusive dining experience for media and trade partners. At this event, Paolo Della Corte, Culinary Director of Nobu Hotel Los Cabos, will delight attendees with an innovative menu of reinvented tacos, while renowned mixologist Osvaldo Vazquez will surprise with unique creations inspired by the region’s native plants and herbs.
In addition, within the framework of FITUR 2025, Los Cabos was represented at the Ibero-American Conference of Tourism Ministers and Entrepreneurs by Rodrigo Esponda, Director General of FITURCA, who participated in the opening ceremony. This important forum addressed the central theme “Boosting the internationalisation of Tourism in Ibero-America”, where key strategies were discussed to boost the presence of destinations such as Los Cabos in international markets.
Rodrigo Esponda will also participate in an executive round table organized by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). The session, entitled “Tourism Infrastructure: A Path to Economic Prosperity and Social Enrichment” will bring together global industry leaders to discuss strategies in areas such as sustainable tourism, infrastructure investment, and destination marketing. Esponda will share Los Cabos’ experience in implementing sustainable development and tourism promotion initiatives to strengthen its international competitiveness. His participation will contribute to a strategic dialogue aimed at attracting key investments and maximizing the positive impact of tourism on local communities.
During FITUR 2025, FITURCA will unveil its new digital ecosystem, designed to streamline trip planning to the destination. This revamped platform offers a more accessible and interactive experience, with personalized recommendations and innovative functions that allow travelers to explore the destination in an intuitive and immersive way. Los Cabos reaffirms its commitment to innovation and sustainable development with this initiative.
As for the Spanish market, Los Cabos has strengthened its international connectivity with the recent inauguration of a new air route between Frankfurt and Los Cabos, operated by leading airline Condor Flugdienst. This connection will operate between November and April during the 2025 and 2026 seasons, offering European travellers a direct route to the destination. It is estimated that this new route will attract 16,000 tourists, consolidating European tourism as the third most relevant international market for Los Cabos and reaffirming the region’s commitment to position itself as one of the most exclusive and safe destinations in Mexico for international travellers.
