The destination was awarded six awards in the Travel Destinations category at the 2023 Travel Weekly Magellan Awards, which are granted by Travel Weekly, one of the leading providers of news and information for the travel industry in the United States. These awards recognized the destination’s exceptional efforts in promoting tourism at an international level.
Their awards were: Best Sustainable Destination in Mexico, Best Destination Webinar Worldwide, Best Destination Marketing Campaign Worldwide, Overall Destinations-Eco-Friendly “Sustainable” Destination, and two Silver Trophies in the subcategories: Destination Marketing – Campaign-Advertising/Marketing and Virtual.
