Last Wednesday, July 10th, a regular meeting was held by the Grupo Madrugadores Los Cabos. A report titled “Observation and Evaluation of the Platforms and Proposals of the 2024 Electoral Campaign through ISO 18091:2019,” which adheres to international standards, was presented during this meeting. Additionally, a review of the performance of the three previous administrations was also included in the report. These documents will serve as a foundation to fortify the upcoming administration’s proposals, actions, and outcomes. The report was handed over to Christian Agúndez Gómez, the President-elect of the municipality. Margarita Díaz Jiménez, Director of the Observatorio Ciudadano Integral de Los Cabos (OCI), presented the report they prepared.
Cristina Rodriguez, the Coordinator of Grupo Madrugadores de Los Cabos, expressed her satisfaction with the upcoming commitment. She welcomed and congratulated the University of the Gulf of California on its hard work and thanked the candidate-elect for being present to hear the Citizen Observatory’s results.
The report intends to provide the candidate with a plan that aligns with national and international standards and outlines the proposals for their 2024 campaign. It also incorporates analysis and input from citizens who are dedicated and deeply committed to enhancing the municipality through responsible, professional, and impartial citizen participation.
In addition, the request includes assigning direct liaisons and holding two annual meetings with organized civil society: Grupo Madrugadores de Los Cabos and Observatorio Ciudadano Integral. These regular meetings, to take place every six months, will include presenting follow-up reports containing progress updates, ratings, and numerical data, providing security and control. It is essential to keep an open channel of communication to facilitate the evaluation during its management and the implementation of the diagnostics and work organized by the Integral Citizen Observatory of Los Cabos (OCI) following the ISO 18091:2019 standard. We are committed to maintaining this open communication and working together to address the challenges in fulfilling our electoral promises.

This achievement reflects the vision and hope of the municipality you will govern, so we want to express our sincere support. In his administration, as citizens and organized civil society committed to well-being and progress, we consider it fundamental to ensure that the commitments made during his campaign materialize effectively,” commented Margarita Díaz Jiménez, Director of OCI.
After the reading, Christian Agúndez Gómez thanked for the invitation and said he would not be alone in his administration since he would have “many eyes and ears to continue or to start an administration in which we are sure to work for the future.”
“After what Margarita and some of her colleagues have just said, it is necessary to tell them that the next administration’s intention, objective and focused energy will always be to move forward. Not only what was commented on in the campaign or the commitments that were made, but also the focus of the entire municipality that is eager for results, that we have in the coming day’s benefits, solutions for every one of the points that we have pending as a municipal administration. We all live here, and what better than to leave a good result in the community? And we can really, in the end, transform that place where we live, leave it functional for the generations to come and, as far as possible, enjoy it too,” said the Municipal President-Elect.
