2025 Proclamation and Presentation of the New Board of Directors of the Grupo Madrugadores de Los Cabos

On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, The Reserve Beach Club at the Vidanta Hotel hosted a significant event for Grupo Madrugadores de Los Cabos: the swearing-in ceremony for 2025. Diego Sanchez, the new Coordinator, and the board of directors who will lead the group this year were officially presented during this ceremony.

From the very start of the morning, it was clear that this was no ordinary Wednesday. Music, warm greetings, and camaraderie filled the air as the group members and media arrived. The pins on their lapels and the projection of a photo reel on the main screen highlighted key moments from the weekly meetings and emphasized the importance of teamwork. The Firemen’s Orchestra was prepared to perform the Mexican National Anthem at the designated moment of the ceremony.

The event was hosted by Arturo Nasser, master of ceremonies, who introduced the special guests and the blacksmiths present in the hall. Afterwards, the Assistant Secretary, Fernando Altamirano, read a quote from Margaret Mead and the group’s declaration of principles, the first point of which states: “We want a free country in which the government acts as far as necessary and the citizenry as far as possible”.

One of the most emotional moments of the day occurred when Margarita Díaz, President of the Observatorio Ciudadano Integral de Los Cabos, was honoured as the Forjadora del Año 2024. Cristina Bremer, the outgoing Coordinator of Grupo Madrugadores, read a tribute highlighting Díaz’s work in advocating for public policies that promote sustainable and accountable governments. After receiving the commemorative statuette, Margarita Díaz expressed her gratitude for the recognition with a heartfelt message.

The master of ceremonies introduced the new Coordinator, Diego Sánchez. Francisco Javier Jiménez, Coordinator of Grupo Madrugadores Internacional, A.C., administered the oath of office. During this solemn ceremony, Diego Sánchez committed to leading the group with responsibility and vision for 2025.

To close the event, Blanca Pedrín presented Cristina Rodríguez Bremer with an award, congratulating her on her excellent performance as Coordinator last year.

The day concluded with joy, greetings, and shows of support, reaffirming Grupo Madrugadores de Los Cabos’s commitment to dialogue, citizen participation, and community development.

A new cycle begins, with the certainty that teamwork will continue to make a difference in Los Cabos.
