Tamarindos: Five Years of Recognition for Cuisine Rooted in the Land

The San José del Cabo restaurant receives Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice award for the fifth consecutive year, a distinction based on guest reviews that places it among the platform’s top 10% of highest-rated establishments worldwide.

San José del Cabo, Baja California Sur.— At Tamarindos, the dining experience begins in the garden. Seasonal harvests, the work of regional producers, and the local catch shape a culinary approach that has once again earned recognition from its visitors: for the fifth consecutive year, the restaurant founded by chef Enrique Silva has received Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice award.

The distinction is based on traveler reviews and ratings from the past twelve months. For Tamarindos, it reflects an ongoing relationship with diners and overnight guests, whose feedback places it among the platform’s top 10% of highest-rated establishments worldwide.

Set on a working, 42-acre organic farm, with an original building dating back to 1888, this countryside destination in San José del Cabo draws its culinary inspiration from its surroundings. The menu changes with the seasons, bringing together produce grown just steps from the kitchen and ingredients supplied by regional producers and local fishermen.

“It is our diners and guests who, entirely of their own accord, give us this recognition,” said Enrique Silva, founder and creative chef of Tamarindos. For the chef, receiving the award for the fifth consecutive year is a source of pride shared with his team and an inspiration to continue creating dining experiences connected to the land and its natural surroundings.

The offerings extend beyond the restaurant. Cooking classes, cabin accommodations, wellness programs, and private events provide different ways to explore the property and enjoy its agricultural and culinary traditions.

With its reopening to the public on October 7, 2026, Tamarindos begins a season for which it is preparing a new lineup of culinary experiences and events. Reservations are available through OpenTable.

This recognition adds another chapter to a culinary vision that contributes to Los Cabos’ gastronomic identity: seasonal cuisine grounded in the land, the people who work it, and the spirit of hospitality.
