Audelia Villarreal is a distinguished social work and politics figure who has made a significant impact through her unwavering commitment and tireless efforts. Originally from La Paz, B.C.S., her trajectory is a testimony of love, dedication and commitment to the most vulnerable. As Ayuda a Corazón de Niño, A.C.’s founder in 2001, Audelia transformed a family experience into a life-giving cause dedicated to providing hope and solutions for children with congenital heart conditions. Under her leadership, this organization has impacted the lives of more than 45,000 children in Baja California Sur, offering everything from detection and diagnosis to specialized treatment and comprehensive support.
Her legacy is measured by the laws passed or the alliances formed and the smiles of thousands of children to whom she has given new hope for life. As a mother, leader, and humanitarian, Audelia Villarreal represents the resilience of the human spirit and the capacity to generate significant change in society.
As a daughter, she has followed in the footsteps of her father, who was named Forjador of the Year in the city of La Paz.
