Los Cabos Will Run for the Red Cross in Todo México Salvando Vidas 2026

The charity race will take place on Sunday, September 6, in Cabo San Lucas, with 3K, 5K, and 10K routes. During the press conference, the organization also received a donation of MXN 500,628.92, raised through the 30th annual Developers’ Golf Tournament.

Los Cabos, Baja California Sur.— A single morning highlighted two ways of supporting those who respond when the community needs them most: the continuation of a corporate partnership spanning three decades and an invitation to join a race that will bring families together across the country.

During a press conference held on August 21, the Mexican Red Cross in Baja California Sur presented details of Todo México Salvando Vidas 2026, a race that will take place simultaneously throughout the country on Sunday, September 6. The gathering began with the presentation of a donation representing 30 years of collaboration between the organization and the Los Cabos Developers Association.

Thirty Years of Turning Golf into Aid

The Developers Association presented the Red Cross with a check for MXN 500,628.92, raised through the 30th annual “Manuel Díaz Rivera” Developers’ Golf Tournament, held on June 17 at Puerto Los Cabos and drawing more than 100 players.

Norma Rivera González, general manager of the association, recalled that the tournament was created with a clear purpose: to support the work of the Red Cross. Over the course of three decades, with an average contribution of nearly MXN 500,000 per edition, the initiative has donated more than MXN 15 million to the organization, according to estimates shared during the event.

This enduring commitment has been possible thanks to the players, sponsors, developers, and golf courses that join the effort each year. Their contributions translate into ambulances kept in service, equipment for paramedics, and greater capacity to respond to emergencies throughout the municipality.

Víctor Saúl Fonseca Espinosa, state delegate for the Mexican Red Cross in Baja California Sur, recognized the long-standing commitment behind this partnership and emphasized that its impact can be seen directly in every service provided to the community.

A Race That Brings the Country Together

The next opportunity to get involved will be Todo México Salvando Vidas 2026, a nationwide race designed to promote community, physical activity, and, above all, solidarity with the Red Cross. In Cabo San Lucas, the event will begin at 7:00 a.m.

The registration fee will be MXN 500 and will include a race T-shirt, bib, timing chip, and a finisher medal. Participants may register online through the links published on the official social media channels of the Red Cross in Baja California Sur and Los Cabos.

Race kit pickup is scheduled for Thursday, September 3, in San José del Cabo, and Friday, September 4, in Cabo San Lucas. Specific times and locations will be announced soon through the organization’s official channels.

After drawing approximately 800 participants in the previous edition, this year’s goal is to welcome nearly 1,000 people.

“A stronger Red Cross reflects the conscience of our community,” said Víctor Saúl Fonseca, noting that the organization responds to accidents, medical emergencies, and natural disasters. “When we need it, the Red Cross is there for us.”

Every Registration Strengthens Operations

The Red Cross in Los Cabos requires approximately MXN 12 million per year to operate. Funds raised through the race will support the organization’s day-to-day needs, including medicines and supplies, ambulance equipment, preventive vehicle maintenance, and compliance with the regulations governing its services.

The state delegate explained that the combination of community contributions, institutional support, and partnerships with socially responsible companies has allowed the organization to strengthen its services. As a result, it was able to double its duty shifts in Cabo San Lucas this month.

The organization is also working to expand its disaster-response capabilities. One of its goals is to establish, within approximately 18 to 24 months, an urban search and rescue team specializing in collapsed structures. This team would complement the experience already developed in Baja California Sur to respond to hurricanes and other emergencies.

More than a competition, the September 6 race will be an opportunity to stand behind the organization that stands with Los Cabos during its most difficult moments. Every registration will help keep ambulances on the road, paramedics prepared, and emergency services available to those who need them.
