The seventh Wine and Cheese Festival took place last Saturday the 16 of March at Sheraton Grand Hacienda del Mar in which everyone enjoyed a music group that made all the attendants dance but, above all, experienced exquisite gastronomic proposals accompanied by various wine houses.
The Hacienda room was perfect thanks to its generosity space that allowed tourists and locals to walk from one point to the other to get to know what type of wine they were offering and also the different cheeses that came from Italy, France, Switzerland and of course Mexico, to mention some countries.
The bread, pizzas, and melon impregnated with champagne were some of the appetizers to accompany the night with the incredible complexity of the cheeses so the community could get a taste of something that is usually hard to find in the city.
The service, on the other hand, was impeccable. The staff was ready to assist the diner in choosing precisely what kind of delicacy they wanted, and that helped so that the cheese and the wine, all together, will provide a unique experience on the palate.
Every assistant had in their hands a glass of red, white or pink wine and in each stand, there was an explanation of which grape was the one you were tasting, from which region it came and some suggestions of which pairing you should try along with it.
Important Mexican wine houses were present at the festival like CASTA, from the Valle de Guadalupe and Casa Madero, from Valle de Parras; also, Baja Wines was there with its fantastic wine selection from all over Mexico and the world.
The night was a success, and the atmosphere was one of joy, dancing in the center of the room with live music and songs such as La Flaca from the group Jarabe de Palo and classic songs from Elvis Presley accompanied by a good cheese and wine.
