The Music Festival returns, in the 11th edition, to the historic center of San Jose del Cabo on Saturday, June 22 from 6:00 pm to 2:00 am so that both tourists and locals can enjoy it.
Los Cabos joins this international event, which begins in Europe and is now celebrated in more than 120 countries on the same day. During the summer solstice, which is the longest day of the year.
Since its inception, this festival has aimed to provide open space and bring music close to everyone. With the motto “a festival from all and for everyone,” the music festival celebrates this form of free expression with more than 100 musical groups of different genres.
This year, in addition to 21 stages and the participation of different bands, the star guest will be Celso Piña and his Ronda Bogota, singer, composer and Mexican accordionist of cumbia and pioneer in the fusion of tropical sounds.
Some of the musical groups and soloists that are presented are Color Hermano, Electric Motion, Cronograma, Sabina, Miraflores Sin Límite, The Jonkies, Fernando Badillo, y Cronomad, among others.
It is necessary to take into consideration that from 6:00 a.m. of that day, the streets of Antonio Mijares Boulevard, Centenario Avenue, Alvaro Obregon Street, Ignacio Zaragoza Street, and, of course, the main street of the Church of San Jose del Cabo will be closed to mount the corresponding scenarios.
It is an entirely free and family event! All forms of coolers and glass objects will be prohibited to avoid accidents. At a press conference, the organizers made a strong request to all for taking in consideration and respect of the street and venues. “It is up to us to maintain this a familiar and respectful festival. We urge all the attendees to be clean and respectful for the roads and the main plaza.”
In addition to beach clean-up campaigns and recycle garbage programs, the music festival will have trash cans that will later be donated to various schools.
The goal of The Music Festival is to enrich the cultural spirit; the movement is a way to generate acquittance between artists, to discover talents and have a good time accompanied by family and friends.
