First Jazz club in Los Cabos grand opening

The Jazz on the Rocks at Sunset Point restaurant opens its doors in Cabo San Lucas with a modern proposal surrounded by class and elegance. The club combines an original gastronomic menu with an atmosphere that allows you to vibrate to the beat of live music, where the soul of the house is Jazz.

Giammarco Vela, CEO of Grupo Monalisa, shared his pride in presenting to Los Cabos this club, so far unique in the destination. Jazz music is the heart of this place that seeks to unite the experience of a pleasant concert with the delight of gastronomy.

Jazz – like Los Cabos – is formed through the diversity of an encounter of cultures between continents such as Europe, America and, of course, Africa. For this reason, it has become a musical genre open to interpretation. The free style of jazz allows for improvisation and a kind of expression that goes beyond entertainment. Although its rhythm conquers a sophisticated audience, in words of the jazz singer, Daline Jones, “jazz has a history as tragic as it is wonderful” that makes it a contrasting pleasure that we can all enjoy.

This club will feature diverse musical styles with local, national and international artists. “We have high-level artists that I think have not been valued enough and Jazz on the Rocks will be their home,” commented Giammarco Vela.

The program will be different every month. Daline Jones, along with the award-winning pianist, Diego Ramírez, will give the first concert this October 15. Restaurant hours are 5:30 p.m. at 11:00 p.m. and will be open seven days a week with a capacity of up to approximately 40 people following biosecurity protocols.

The atmosphere of the place, located on the second floor of Sunset Point allows a great acoustics with huge windows facing the sea that surround the iconic Arch of Cabo San Lucas.

Rodrigo Esponda, general director of the Los Cabos Tourism Board, highlighted the importance of jazz clubs as centers of artistic creation and innovation. In addition, he took the opportunity to express that, in recent months, Los Cabos “has been attracting much more demanding visitors”, once again positioning this place as a world-class destination.

Jazz on the Rocks at Sunset Point has the Clean Point certification, which makes the club one of the 500 companies that carry out their activities in an environment that complies with hygiene and safety measures.

Starting today, the opening of this club adds to the list of attractive experiences in Los Cabos, where the sunsets are the best part of the show.
