Bisbee’s tournaments are now in their 43rd edition! Today’s press conference for the highly anticipated sport fishing competition in Los Cabos took place at Kamú restaurant in Médano Hotel and Suites.
Present at the presidium were Clicerio Mercado, President of Bisbee’s Mexico; Gonzalo Alameda, Bisbee’s Tournament Advisor; Miriam Cervantes, Manager of Médano Hotel and Suites; and Joe Maceo, representative of the PGA tournament.
From a simple conversation among friends on a fishing boat, Bob Bisbee‘s vision and passion have transformed into the world’s most lucrative sport fishing tournament while simultaneously elevating Cabo San Lucas to “The Marlin Capital.”
These are the activities that are deemed as the most critical competencies:
Los Cabos Offshore: October 19th to 22nd, 2023.
- Tarpaulins, tents and stands will be erected on October 18th, 2023.
The registration day will be October 19th, 2023, starting at 2:00 p.m., at the former Baja Brewing location and de la Marina in Plaza Puerto Paraiso. The fishing days will be from the 20th to the 21st, 2023, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; the shotgun will start at 6:30 a.m. The weigh station will be open from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
On Sunday, 22nd of January 2023, an awards dinner at Maria Corona Restaurant will start at 7:00 p.m.
Bisbee’s Black & Blue tournament will take place from October 24th to 27th, 2023.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Puerto Brewing Plaza, which is situated on the marina walkway.
Registration will begin on October 24th, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Participants can make payments in cash, pesos, dollars, cashier’s checks, or credit card.
At 6:30 p.m., officials will read the rules. At 7:00 p.m., a welcome cocktail and hors d’oeuvres will be served with special guests. Previously, the Honors to the flag and the singing of the National Anthem will take place.
The fishing trip will take place from October 25th to 27th, 2023. The departure time is at 6:00 a.m. sharp, and the boarding will be on the vessel Cabo Wave. Please note that the capacity is limited. The fishing schedule is from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the lines will be out of the water starting at 5:00 p.m.
The scale will be open from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for weighing. The angler must carry not only his specimen, rod, reel, leader, trolling line and hook but also other necessary equipment such as the bait, a fishing vest, and a first aid kit. (An angler is anyone who goes fishing with a rod and a fishing line with a hook at the end of it.)
The awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 28th, 2023, following the Bisbee’s format. The event will begin with a dinner on the pier at the dock, commencing at 7:00 p.m.
