Los Cabos has established itself as the “Mecca of Golf,” with the largest golf courses in Mexico. For sports enthusiasts, there are 18 internationally designed venues.

Any time of the year is perfect for enjoying a play day in Los Cabos. Below, we share five golf courses with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez.

El Cardonal

El Cardonal by TGR Design: This course was designed by Tiger Woods. Located within the “Diamante Cabo San Lucas” complex, this golf course is a must-visit for golfers who are members or guests of the property. The course comprises 18 holes and spans 7,363 yards, featuring streams, natural dunes and fairway bunkers that offer risk-reward opportunities from the tees. Additionally, ample landing areas provide various angles and options to approach the greens.

Quivira Golf Club

Quivira Golf ClubThe stunning Quivira Los Cabos golf course is located just 15 minutes away from downtown Cabo San Lucas. The course covers an impressive 7,085 yards and boasts a unique Par 72 design by Jack Nicklaus himself. The course’s most striking features are the combination of tall granite cliffs and rolling hills of the Cabo desert, providing breathtaking views of the sea. The green also has impressive drops from tee to fairway, making it a remarkable golfing experience for enthusiasts.

Solmar Golf Links

Grand Solmar Rancho San Lucas Resort features Solmar Golf Links Cabo San Lucas, an innovative 18-hole, Par 72, 7,260-yard landscaped championship course. Thanks to the club’s emphasis on sustainability and the care of the surrounding natural environment, it is the only certified Audubon International club in the area. The golf course is situated in an area surrounded by massive dunes, a thick cactus forest, and streams. It offers exciting challenges due to its variable elevation of 90 meters and features such as a green on the 17th hole found on a lagoon island and five holes on the beach.

Cabo Real Golf Club

Located 30 minutes from Los Cabos International Airport, Cabo Real Golf Club is a 6,848-yard course in San Jose del Cabo with a balanced and memorable Par 71 test of golf.

With the help of Robert Trent Jones Jr.’s expertise, the first nine holes of the golf course were redesigned to offer breathtaking panoramic views of the wide fairways. The remaining nine holes are situated in the desert hills and feature free-form bunkers, making them the longest points of the course. The small and elevated greens combine with the fairways that cross the ridges, imitating the mountain peaks of the Sierra de la Laguna.

Puerto Los Cabos

Puerto Los Cabos: Located just ten minutes from the Historic Center of San José del Cabo. It offers 27 holes with three different championship layouts, each with a Par 36. The Ocean and Vista Courses, designed by Jack Nicklaus, are 3,576 and 3,436 yards long, respectively. Additionally, the Mission Course, designed by Greg Norman, has the exact yardage as the Vista Course. Players can create various combinations within this unique system to complete the 18-hole commitment. The difficulty level can be modified based on the players’ preferences as they navigate through the undulating fairways and greens, sculpted bunkers, and desert hill elevations reaching up to 400 feet.
