The municipality of Loreto was present in the gastronomic sample at the 2nd Festival of Machaca, Cheese and Chorizo (MaQueCho) of the Historic Town of San Antonio, in the municipality of La Paz.
Loreto is the birthplace of Alta and Baja California, where cities, towns, and ranches originated. It has a beautiful history and, for more than three centuries, has been the scene of significant events.
Loreto’s identity was represented in this festival, offering a varied South Californian gastronomic sample to the more than 70 participants from the ranches and surrounding communities. The event exceeded all expectations based on the first edition of MaQueCho. The event more than doubled the number of exhibitors, regional products for sale, and hundreds of attendees who tasted typical Southern Californian gastronomy. With more than 3 thousand attendees, it surpassed its record this year!
Attendees could enjoy a diverse music and art program that spanned from Sunday morning until nightfall.
Congratulations! We hope that this festival will continue to grow with each edition.
