Have a great time at the renovated Sunken Bar at The Cape, A Thompson Hotel.

Located in the hotel lobby, Sunken Bar transforms its essence. Guests and visitors can enjoy the breathtaking ocean views while relishing an elegant outdoor setting with a revolutionary menu and refreshing cocktails.

It is ideal for having a drink and mezcalita before or after dinner at Manta Restaurant. The new design offers unobstructed views of the large terrace.

An impressive piece of architecture, the restaurant will be managed by renowned Chef Enrique Olvera, founder of Manta. With an exquisite and delicious culinary proposal, our Manta and Sunken Bar offer exclusivity to guests and foodies alike.

Sunken Bar has updated its menu, drawing inspiration from Mexican and Korean cuisine and featuring hot and cold dishes made with locally sourced ingredients.

We highly recommend trying out our delicious totoaba ceviche as we enter the new season. It is made with tiger’s milk, carrot, scallion, spices, lemon juice and a touch of olive oil. Additionally, we suggest trying our slightly spicy shrimp and octopus ceviche with lemon juice and scallion and our beet ceviche with tiger’s milk, lemon juice, scallion, and a little olive oil. We are confident that you will love these dishes and find them a perfect addition to your meal.

The Korean-style chicken will be your favourite; it is perfectly portioned, juicy, crispy and has an exquisitely seasoned sauce. Your ideal wine pairing? A glass of Damiana (apricot) cocktail.

In the heart of The Cape, A Thompson Hotel, framed with renovated details and a personality that gradually emerges as the sun sets, Sunken BarChef Enrique Olvera invites you to enjoy a new gastronomic proposal featuring local and sustainable ingredients prepared with refined techniques, served with exceptional service, and in a tranquil atmosphere.
