Sabor a Cabo 2026: A Sibarite Celebration of Los Cabos’ Gastronomy and Spirit of Giving

The 18th edition of Sabor a Cabo returns on December 5 with a renewed concept bringing together gastronomy, wine, mixology, local producers, and entertainment in an experience designed for guests to explore and discover. The event will remain true to the purpose that has defined its history: supporting the community, with proceeds benefiting the Cabo San Lucas Fire Department and the Mexican Red Cross.

Los Cabos, Baja California Sur.— After 18 editions, Sabor a Cabo is entering a new chapter. The culinary event officially unveiled its 2026 edition under the concept “A Sibarite Celebration,” an evolution designed to transform the traditional gathering into an immersive experience where gastronomy, wine, mixology, culture, hospitality, and entertainment come together throughout the evening.

The Sabor a Cabo 2026 presentation brought together representatives from the culinary and business sectors, along with local authorities and emergency response organizations. The panel included Luis Alvarado, founding member and president of the Sabor a Cabo nonprofit association; Zulma Rodríguez, director and general coordinator of the festival; Óscar Morando, president of CANIRAC Los Cabos; Ignacio “Nacho” Arce Peñuelas, owner of EDA Timeless Venue; Martín Antonio Alcázar Castañeda, president of the Cabo San Lucas Fire Department Board; Fernando Mendoza, secretary of the Baja California Sur State Council of the Mexican Red Cross; and José Samuel Cisneros, representing the Municipality of Los Cabos. Special recognition was also given to Carmen Carbajal, an important contributor to the development of this new edition, along with the founding members, sponsors, government officials, business leaders, and members of the media who joined the launch of the 18th edition.

The event will take place on Saturday, December 5, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at EDA Timeless Venue, an open-air setting featuring a variety of environments and experiences throughout the evening.

Yet behind the celebration remains the purpose that has accompanied Sabor a Cabo since its beginnings: using gastronomy as a platform to give back to Los Cabos.

During the presentation, Luis Alvarado, founding member and president of the Sabor a Cabo nonprofit association, emphasized that the success of the event should not be measured solely from an economic perspective, but also by its ability to bring together the community, business leaders, restaurateurs, sponsors, government officials, and the media around a shared cause.

This year, proceeds will benefit the Cabo San Lucas Fire Department and the Mexican Red Cross, two organizations that play an essential role in emergency response throughout the destination.

An experience to explore Los Cabos through its flavors

The 18th edition will accommodate up to 45 participating restaurants, a number determined by the event’s new layout, which will prioritize the guest journey and the different environments throughout the venue. “We want guests to explore, discover, taste, and truly experience Sabor a Cabo,” explained Zulma Rodríguez, director of Sabor a Cabo, while introducing this year’s concept.

The Sibarite Celebration brings together two worlds: the sophisticated and the festive. Participating chefs and restaurants will share the experience with wineries, mixology concepts, spirits, producers, brands, and a variety of activations designed to encourage guest interaction.

One of the evening’s highlights will be the wine garden, featuring more than 40 wineries. In addition to tasting a variety of labels, guests can engage with sommeliers, winery representatives, and producers to discover the stories behind the wines. The experience will place special emphasis on Mexican wine, showcasing labels from different wine-producing regions throughout the country.

The event will also feature dedicated spaces for mixology and spirits, a dessert area, and a marketplace offering products and goods made in Los Cabos, bringing local artisans and producers into the experience.

Gastronomy as a meeting point

For the restaurant industry, said Óscar Morando, president of CANIRAC Los Cabos, Sabor a Cabo represents an opportunity to strengthen unity within a sector currently facing significant challenges. During the press conference, industry representatives emphasized the importance of supporting local restaurants and recognizing the effort required to participate in an event of this scale.

Each restaurant will present a representative taste of its culinary concept, turning the evening into a showcase of the gastronomic diversity that distinguishes Los Cabos today.

This collective participation once again highlights one of the values that has allowed Sabor a Cabo to endure through the years: collaboration.

A cause that extends beyond one night

The event’s social impact will once again take center stage. During the presentation, Martín Antonio Alcázar Castañeda, president of the Cabo San Lucas Fire Department Board, shared the significance of the contributions the festival can generate.

For example, he noted that proceeds from previous years have helped the department add emergency vehicles that currently serve the municipality. In September alone, the organization responded to nearly 500 emergency calls, underscoring the human, operational, and financial resources required to maintain its response capabilities.

Fernando Mendoza, representing the Mexican Red Cross, also highlighted the importance of community and private-sector participation in sustaining its operations. Behind every ambulance and every emergency response is a team of paramedics, volunteers, and staff members working every day to provide care when it is needed most. Participation in Sabor a Cabo therefore extends beyond the culinary experience; it also strengthens the organizations and people who serve the community.

This year’s goal is to sell out the event with 3,500 guests. Organizers explained that no fixed fundraising target has been publicly established: the greater the event’s success, the greater the support that can be provided to both organizations.

A celebration for every generation

And after exploring, discovering, and tasting, it will be time to dance.

The musical finale of Sabor a Cabo 2026 will feature La Única Internacional Sonora Santanera, a choice designed to bring generations together through songs that have become part of Mexico’s musical heritage.

The dance floor will play a central role in this new Sibarite Celebration, reinforcing the event’s renewed festive spirit.

Tickets will be available in two categories: General Admission, priced at MXN $3,250, which includes tastings and access to the experiences throughout the event, and VIP, priced at MXN $5,600, featuring an assigned table and seat, along with the additional benefits included in this category.

By bringing together gastronomy, wine, mixology, music, and a meaningful social cause in one evening, Sabor a Cabo is setting out to make its 18th edition more than a continuation of tradition.

After nearly two decades, the festival once again puts at its heart the qualities that have helped define Los Cabos as a destination: its hospitality, its gastronomy, and its community’s ability to come together.

On December 5, that spirit of unity will once again have a place to gather.
