New goals for the Boys and Girls Club of Baja California Sur

Today, the Boys and Girls Club of Baja California Sur presented its new board of directors at its facilities located in San José del Cabo.

Representatives of government authorities, personalities from the hotel industry, foundations, as well as special guests, recognized by the Los Cabos community, participated in this event. 

The board of directors is made up of Renato Mendonca, the new president, Mauricio Balderrama as treasurer, and Raúl Godín as secretary. New members such as Linda Mchatton and Freddy Rodríguez were welcomed; all members were divided into different topics that are of utmost importance and learning for the formation of children and young people. 

Future projects and alliances were also revealed, and in a very emotional way collaboration with Casa Hogar Cabo San Lucas was presented.

“Helping and serving others comes with many headaches, time away from home, claims, and complaints, but all of that creates the story behind a good deed,” said Jayson Stirrup, executive director of Casa Hogar Cabo San Lucas. 

During the press conference, some members of the workshops shared their experiences in the activities and how the Boys and Girls Club of Baja California Sur has impacted their academic and personal growth. 

One of the most important objectives for the organization is to increase alliances and projects to create a positive impact on the lives of children and young people in Los Cabos. 

An important point that several participants of the presidium commented on was: capitation on tourism”, it will seek to position itself as a substantial contribution and teach the participants of the foundation so that they know this economic source for the South Californian municipality and embrace tourism from a young age.
