In Baja California Sur, the security strategy will be coordinated by the three levels of government.
“It is essential to attend to the personal and financial security of travelers, as well as of the receiving communities. For this reason, we must incorporate businessmen and leaders of the sector to increase surveillance of destinations to expose Mexico as a safe and trustworthy destination” Luis Araiza López, President of the Association of Secretaries of Tourism of Mexico (ASETUR)
The creation of a Crisis Management Committee and designing a health security plan, infrastructure, information services, migration and customs that act as tourist assistance centers are necessary for the timely management of problems that tourists may present.
Finally, he emphasized that the perception of the destination in terms of safety and quality is a determining factor to successfully revive the hospitality industry.
“It is essential to create confidence and certainty in the health issue so that they return, but they also recommend.” Luis Araiza López
