The program is intended for all ladies seeking to learn new skills and launch their businesses. They will learn to create piñatas over five days, progressively improving from the basic designs to creating works of true art. A public organization called the Municipal Institute of Women in Loreto strives to mainstream gender perspectives; and strengthen the skills and potential of women.
The group recently launched an initiative to encourage mothers to participate in the piñata-making course offered by the Women’s Development Center.
The course runs from November 7th to 11th, 2022. The course is free of charge and limited to 15 participants, from 4:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Interested individuals should register between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm at the institute’s offices, which are situated at Padre Kino between Independencia and Emiliano Zapata in Colonia Centro.
“The first and most important thing is to create, experiment, and let one’s imagination run wild in order to express one’s talent creatively. It’s also crucial to preserve Loreto’s artisan traditions and revive the piñata as a creative endeavour from which one may launch a business.” commented Consuelo Alicia Larrinaga Green, Director of the Municipal Women’s Institute.
