Only 13 days left until the Bisbee’s tournaments! Today, a press conference was held at Puerto Paraiso’s commercial plaza to announce the highly anticipated sport fishing competition in Los Cabos.
Present at the presidium were: Clicerio Mercado, President of Bisbee’s Mexico; Martin Inzunza, Director of the Fund for the Protection of Marine Resources (FONMAR); Salvador Uribe, Administrator of “The Paraiso Residences” and Livia Torres, Manager of Plaza Puerto Paraiso.
The program will be:
- Los Cabos Offshore: October 18 to 22, 2023.
Pre-registration and registration will be held on October 18 and 19, 2023, at Luxury Avenue in Puerto Paraiso starting from 3:00 p.m. The fishing event takes place on October 20-21, 2023, with a shotgun start at 7:00 a.m. and an extended finish at 5:00 p.m.
*The weigh station will be open from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Cabo Escape will welcome special guests for a 6:45 a.m. sailing from the maritime terminal.
- Bisbee’s Black & Blue from October 23 to 28, 2023
Pre-registration and registration will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on October 23 and 24, 2023, at Luxury Avenue. Payment methods accepted include pesos or dollars, cashier’s checks, and credit cards.
On October 24, 2023, there will be a reading of the official fishing rules at 6:30 p.m., followed by a welcome cocktail at 7:00 p.m. The event will feature a flag ceremony, live mariachi and folkloric dance performances, lighting of the cauldron, and fireworks, concluding with the national anthem.
Fishing days are October 25 to 27, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (lines out of the water at 5:00 pm); Boarding of the vessel “Cabo Wave” will begin at 6:00 a.m. at the maritime terminal. The vessel will depart at 6:30 a.m., and the departure shot will be fired at 7:00 a.m.
The opening hours for the scale are from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Note: For the weigh-in, the angler must bring not only their specimen, but also their rod, reel, leader, trolling line, and hook.
