Nobu is one of the most prestigious hotels and restaurant chains in the world. Recently it has opened its doors in Los Cabos, a destination that takes the lead when it comes to luxury, quality, and warmth.
The Tendencia team arrived at the hotel to interview Alberto Selas, General Manager of Nobu Los Cabos, who has just moved to “a destination that embraced him.” After working in the Dominican Republic running a 4,200-room complex, Alberto received a call from Nobu Los Cabos. “The synergy was easy because the chain values match my personal ones.” He said.
Nobu’s concept is luxury-lifestyle, where luxury and service come together to provide a personalized and impeccable service, and thus, the guest will enjoy their stay to the fullest.
Nobu’s story begins 25 years ago when Robert De Niro visited Nobu Matsuhisa’s restaurant. After 4 years of insistence on behalf of the famous Hollywood actor, they became partners. Then, they added a third person in society: the Hollywood producer Meir Teper.
With 25 years of success in Japanese cuisine and 6 years as a hotel brand, Nobu is a minimalist Japanese themed gastronomic hotel that is integrated into each tourist destination. In Los Cabos, the architecture is a mixture of earth and sand colors with clean strokes and Mexican wood.
In return, Nobu provides exceptional experiences that make guests feel like a family. For this reason, the Kanpai Sunset is one of the events that will take place every Thursday, but once a month it will be more than spectacular where you can enjoy the terrace, watch the sunset and enjoy the theme of that month: fashion, emerging bands or electronic music, among other presentations.
With the arrival of Nobu in Los Cabos, the destination ensures its importance in the international hotel business in the world and Nobu confirms that its most significant challenge is to translate its ideals to make each stay a unique experience in life.
