This time, the children took centre stage at the Family Day event in the Mifel Tennis Open by Telcel Oppo 2024, where they played, had fun and learned. Cabos.
Under the full morning sun, the first graders from Eduardo Gastelum Elementary School arrived at the Cabo Sports Complex (CSC) facilities. Walking in line, singing as if they were Boy Scouts, responding to the teachers, eager and hopeful that the magic will happen: the moment the ball touches the racquet, that dry, perfect hit.
With his racquet, each stroke followed the teachers, who gave instructions for the coordination exercises that worked on patience and tranquillity when the ball was in their possession. There were also integration activities, with games in which everyone had fun.
In a different area, the little ones used coloured pencils to draw pictures while receiving didactic and playful guidance from the Mextenis staff.
Tennis can offer different physical, emotional, and social benefits for boys and girls. It also plays a role in enhancing mental development and promoting social skills. Playing tennis in childhood contributes to discipline, patience, self-esteem, confidence, and healthy habits.
The Family Day was primarily designed for kids introduced to tennis through games played with giant and normal-sized racquets. The air was filled with excitement, joy, and laughter as Lizzie Rocks, the super-talented host of Cabo Mil radio station, captivated the children with her fantastic show. Seeing the little ones completely engrossed in the immersive experience that Lizzie had created was an absolute delight.
