Baja California Sur reactivation of Safe Tourism

In Baja California Sur, the security strategy will be coordinated by the three levels of government.

“It is essential to attend to the personal and financial security of travelers, as well as of the receiving communities. For this reason, we must incorporate businessmen and leaders of the sector to increase surveillance of destinations to expose Mexico as a safe and trustworthy destination” Luis Araiza López, President of the Association of Secretaries of Tourism of Mexico (ASETUR)

The creation of a Crisis Management Committee and designing a health security plan, infrastructure, information services, migration and customs that act as tourist assistance centers are necessary for the timely management of problems that tourists may present.

Finally, he emphasized that the perception of the destination in terms of safety and quality is a determining factor to successfully revive the hospitality industry.

“It is essential to create confidence and certainty in the health issue so that they return, but they also recommend.” Luis Araiza López

Los Cabos receives WTTC Secure Travel Seal

In view of the new normality, the World Travel Tourism Council (WTTC) launches the global “Safe Travel” badge to recognize destinations and establishments that meet protocols for safe travel.

The seal will allow travelers to recognize governments and companies around the world that have adopted global standardized health and hygiene protocols so that consumers can experience “safe travel.”

Gloria Guevara Manzo, President and CEO of the WTTC, highlighted that “Los Cabos is the destination of great luxury par excellence in the Mexican Pacific, which is attended by a large number of travelers, especially from the North American region, which now count with hygiene protocols to enjoy your trip ”.

Baja California Sur offers enigmatic settings such as Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo, Loreto, La Paz, Todos los Santos and the grandeur of the Sea of Cortez.
