“For a destiny without fire victims,” that’s the motto for the 1st Seminar of Fire Prevention in Hotels Los Cabos 2019, in two days, internal fire squads will be trained to strengthen and professionalize their methods. This first summit would not be possible without the joint effort that the Hotels Association of Los Cabos, the city’s Citizen Protection direction, and the Fire Department of Cabo San Lucas perform.
On the first day, multiple expert talks on the subject will take place, and on the second day, there will be a competition for all the 300 collaborators, of which 23 of the participant hotels will implement what they have learned.
This competition will start at 10:00 AM and will be based on activities that concern fire squads.
For example, how does an evacuation take place, how to attach a hose, perform a simulation with a victim and how to put off a fire. The 10 preventive scenarios that these hotels will simulate on that day will have to be executed in the shortest time possible with the appropriate techniques.
This summit aims to prepare collaborators so that they can feel safe in a risk-free place, and so that they themselves are able to provide the necessary protection to tourists and work colleagues alike in case of a dangerous event.
Likewise, aid activities are to be strengthened, since hotels are obliged to follow a protocol and fulfill the regulations and requirements from Citizen Protection within the three government levels.
It’s important to be aware of how each hotel’s squad works in case of having any situation so that they would be prepared to halt the danger while firefighters arrive.
