Yesterday, at the Casa Dorada Resort & Spa Hotel, a press conference was held on the annual report of the objectives achieved in 2022- 2023. The following members of the Los Cabos Children’s Foundation were present at the event: Marisa Comella, Executive Director; Gabriela Palacios, Program Manager; Emily Rice, Board of Directors; Sergio Sanchez, General Director of DIF Los Cabos Children’s Foundation; and Dr. Liliana Chacón, Medical Director of Centro de Rehabilitación e Inclusión Teletón (CRIT).
“Los Cabos Children’s Foundation was born 21 years ago to support children. However, other general health issues were added to improve children’s health and contribute to families’ quality of life,” Marisa Comella commented.
To improve the health of children and adolescents, Baja California Sur received economic support and strategic accompaniment, resulting in a significant impact. For example, during 2022-2023, 10,020 children and adolescents benefited from 33 support programs, concentrating an investment of 27.02 million pesos.
“Changing the world one child at a time is why we doctors work every day. Meeting children makes us connect, and that bond makes a difference. Five years ago, we approached Los Cabos Children’s Foundation to create an excellent alliance, and dreams become goals. As great visionaries, we dream of bringing more children to their services; CRIT BCS wants to create an extension in Los Cabos.” added Dr. Liliana Chacón, Liliana Chacón, Medical Director of CRIT, BCS.
