Indira&Isidro Jewelry Design had a resounding success at New York Fashion Week in 2023 with their Spirits of the Soul Spring-Summer 2024 collection. After showcasing their runway show on September 11, 2023, the talented team embarked on a journey to participate in one of the most anticipated catwalks where fashion is said to be born – Milan Fashion Week!
However, their presence on the “Fashion Vibes Milano” platform was quite an odyssey. Their wardrobe fitting was scheduled for September 18, 2023, followed by their presentation on September 22, 2023. After a rigorous selection process, twenty girls and five boys with specific characteristics were selected out of more than 300 models to showcase the jewelry in the most captivating way possible.
The clothing for the occasion featured colors such as orange, terracotta, brown, and chocolate. These colors were chosen as a proposal for next year, along with white overalls to highlight the jewelry. The attendees were impressed by the 150 pieces on display, which included exotic leather bags, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and rings with precious and semi-precious stones. The striking creations left the audience in awe.
On the day of the big catwalk, the models were nervous because of the importance of the event. The weather was cloudy, with a possibility of rain and even a thunderstorm. They prayed that the show would not be canceled. Unfortunately, they received a phone call informing them that the venue would be closed due to the high probability of a thunderstorm.
A significant risk was involved in holding the event at Palazzina Appiani, which is situated within Castello Sforzesco, due to numerous trees in the vicinity. However, the municipality of Milan granted special permission to hold the show after closing the complex, and the participants were allowed to enter through one of the side gates of the Castle.
Initially, 150 models were chosen for all the designers. However, only 80 models were presented, and eight designers from different countries shared the same models. These circumstances caused chaos behind the scenes. The moment was filled with anecdotes of people rushing around, changing clothes, putting on jewelry and costumes, and feeling the adrenaline of knowing that Indira & Isidro Jewelry Designers would be closing the show.
Finally, after all the hard work, perseverance, and determination, the icing on the cake was when the walk finally unfolded. The best reward of the evening was the audience’s applause and cheers, with standing congratulations and positive media comments.
This catwalk was nothing short of extraordinary – it was simply exhilarating and unforgettable.
