Rancho Frondoso was the perfect setting for a pleasant Saturday morning. On October 26th, sponsors, chefs, media, and people committed to supporting pregnant women in vulnerable situations gathered for the first Brunch with a Cause of the Civil Association VIFAC Los Cabos.
“We are very excited because we are finally doing this event with a cause. We want to move the hearts of everyone in the community and invite them to look towards this group of people who need help. It touches me so much to see so many good people coming together and helping generously,” said Carol Xicoténcatl, Director of VIFAC Los Cabos.
With the contribution of MXN 1,500, which included a welcome kit from The Beauty in Cabo, attendees tasted the flavours of the incredible chefs Sussette Valdez, Alex Branch, Belén Cortez, Roger Martín, Anita Calixto and Guillermo Gómez. Also supporting the event were the sponsors Beauty in Cabo, Frondoso, Iván Guaderrama, Las Venenosas, Sage, Suelo Sur, Amparo García and, of course, companies associated with AFEET, such as Imelda Favela from Mía Jewelry, Karla Casillas from The Main Event, Rocio Espinoza from Casa Martin, Jazmin Almada from Proyecta MX and Claudia del Pino from Tendencia.
The VIFAC Los Cabos team planned the brunch over a year ago, and it finally went perfectly. As a welcome, Baja Wines offered refreshing and exquisite mimosas. Bringing Karla Casillas’s creativity and good taste, the tables were impeccably decorated and unified between the vegetation landscape and a rustic and sustainable ambience. Rancho Frondoso in San José del Cabo was the ideal venue.
The welcoming music to the incredible venue was provided by Francisco Alatorre, with the energetic strumming of flamenco guitar playing, giving a brilliant, deep sound full of percussive nuances.
“Hopefully, the people who are participating will have an excellent morning; they can learn about the mission, vision and values of VIFAC Los Cabos, and also success stories like the ones we have here: girls, who are showing the products they make in the workshops, which are also available for sale,” said Imelda Favela, a volunteer.
Beneficiaries Adilene and Nayeli were with their babies, selling desserts: apple enchiladas, cheesecake and biscuits, which they learned to make in VIFAC Los Cabos workshops. Both said they were happy to participate in the brunch they had planned with much love and dedication.
Thanks to the participants’ support, the event took place in an atmosphere of cordiality and friendliness. Attendees had the opportunity to meet, interact, and, of course, eat delicious food. Congratulations, VIFAC Los Cabos!
