For 8 consecutive years, the foundations Ayuda a Corazón de Niño @ A.C. and Amigos de Los Niños de Cabo San Lucas (“Friends of the Children of Cabo San Lucas), A.C. have held a Jornada Unidos de Corazon. Each year these life-saving efforts transpire over one week period. This year it took place on August 20 to 29, 2022.
Jornada Unidos de Corazón (“United Journey of the Heart”): a new opportunity to treat congenital heart disease in children in Baja California Sur.
More than 40 specialists from different parts of Mexico and medical equipment travel to Los Cabos to operate on patients at Hospital H+. Philips is a renowned healthcare technology company recognized for its quest to improve people’s health and well-being. This company is joining the fight by transporting high-end, technologically advanced equipment to attend the day’s events.
The intention is to adhere to the main objective of Ayuda a Corazón de Nio A.C., which is to quickly and efficiently provide treatment, support initiatives in the public, private, and social sectors, and prioritize health to enhance the quality of life. Children and adolescents receive comprehensive support during this critical week in which free pediatric cardiology consultations and high specialty surgeries are performed. In addition, specialists and volunteers from this organization, which was created in 2001, provide parents guidance to assist them from the beginning to the end of the procedure.
Amigos de Los Niños de Cabo San Lucas, A.C.’s mission is to provide children (under 18 years of age) in Los Cabos access to excellent medical treatment. Accessibility to health care is available regardless of the lack of financial resources or lack of high-quality medical care. Because of this, they coordinate outpatient medical consultations and clinics, and support the establishment of medical treatments for seriously ill or disabled minors.
