Grand Velas seeks to promote and innovate its brand in Los Cabos, and at the same time contribute to the development of this tourist destination. With this goal in mind, it inaugurates its art gallery win the resort to promote the talent of artists who reside in the South Californian territory.
With the opening of this new art gallery, Grand Velas Los Cabos seeks to provide a space to admire, through art, the wonders that Mexico offers.

Under the direction of Patricia Mendoza, with an impeccable and genuine career as a gallerist, she will be in charge of the art gallery, the first exhibit cycle includes paintings by Alejandrina Calderoni, Eduardo Mejorada, Enrique Bascón and Yandi Monardo. Patricia Mendoza’s affection for local artists stems from her love for Mexico, and mainly, the history of Los Cabos.
“Being part of this project motivates me to continue promoting Mexican art, Grand Velas is the only hotel in Los Cabos thought to have an exclusive place for art, a gallery as such and is also a beautiful space.” Patricia Mendoza.
Los Cabos is an inclusive multicultural destination with artists from Oaxaca, Chiapas, Guerrero and also international. Now you can also travel to select works of art in a privileged environment.
Interior designer Melin Castro did a fantastic job. The art gallery is a modern white room, with large spaces, where the details of lighting, corners, color, materials highlight the works of art. The gallery will house paintings of different sizes, concepts, artists and techniques.
Artists and Works:
- Alejandrina Calderoni, who in 2015 receives the acquisition prize for her work Ensayo en Rojo, presented Vínculo, Lazo Inquebrantable and Nexos.
- Eduardo Mejorada presents Mar Amarillo, Cementerio and Límites Circulares V and II
- Enrique Bascón, Spanish artist who lives in Los Cabos since 2006, shows El Elegido, El Elegido, Ya Chilló la Rata and Perdóname Padre Porque He Pecado among others.
- Yandi Monardo exhibits Mapa Estelar and Fragmento de un Mapa Primitivo, among others.
