The festival’s first edition, named after Linda García, who founded the folkloric ballet “Así es mi Tierra” (This Is My Land), is scheduled for October 5, 8, and 12, 2023. More than 30 folkloric dance artists will perform musical numbers in selected public spaces in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas.

At the press conference held at the Lapa Lapa Restaurant, the program was shared:

How wonderful that we can share folklore so that more young people become enthusiastic about this beautiful art,” commented Linda García, founder more than 30 years ago of the first folkloric ballet in Los Cabos.
Several individuals attended the press conference, including Luis Ángel Ortiz Catalán, who represented the Institute of the Arts of the Municipality of Los Cabos; Rubí Jacobo, artistic director of the Linda García Festival; Linda García, founder of the first folkloric ballet of Los Cabos “Así es mi Tierra” and “Fiesta California”; Raúl Sánchez, director of Paraguay ETE Pilar; Mariela Romero, member of Paraguay ETE Pilar; and Sergio Marqués, member of the folkloric group Fiesta California.
