Project to boost production in Loreto begins.

The “Capital of the Californias” is partnering with local producers in rural areas, such as San Javier, for the “100% Choyero” project.

The project began last weekend in Loreto in collaboration with Big Smart stores. It aims to provide better marketing channels for Loreto businesses and customers.

“100% Choyero” aims to promote a circular economy in Southern California’s stores by marketing products from the land of “choyeros”. (The term “choyero” refers to Southern California.)

Mayor Paola Cota Davis stated that the first phase would benefit four families, comprising twenty individuals, who are direct producers of the Agua Escondida, Los Serís, and Los Corrales ranches in the San Javier community.

“This project not only seeks to strengthen our regional identity but also to provide concrete benefits to the families that are the heart of our community, contributing significantly to the growth of the family income of our local producers,” said the Mayor.

Loreto is a picturesque destination that perfectly blends natural and cultural wonders. From the stunning beaches to the breathtaking mountains, Loreto offers visitors a chance to experience the beauty of Southern California like never before. Additionally, with its historic architecture, charming streets, and vibrant local markets, the town showcases the region’s unique identity and way of life. Loreto is unequivocally the essence of Southern California, located in the heart of Baja California Sur.
