During February, we had the pleasure of experiencing the 2024 edition of the Los Cabos Tennis Open, the Mifel Tennis Open by Telcel Oppo. This eighth tournament broke attendance records, with more than 35,000 people attending the five-day event.
The joy and enthusiasm brought together athletes, fans and organizers who sealed their achievements after the February 24, 2024 finals. A big party with live music and the presence of a DJ mixing hits from the ’80s was the closing. The event also included a spectacular and captivating drone show!
Congratulations to Jordan Thompson for his victory over Casper Ruud in the final. Seeing such talented players excel is exciting, and winning a tournament is always a moving milestone in a tennis player’s career.
In addition, we congratulate the event’s diligent organizers and generous sponsors for their important contribution to a joyous celebration of sport.
There were six intense days at the Cabo Sports Complex, with events for all ages. The youngest ones learned the virtues of tennis and had fun with a children’s show.
It was also possible for the tennis players to interact with the fans. Autograph signings, photo shoots and press conferences brought them closer on a more personal level.
This time, unlike previous tournaments in the summer, the tournament was held during February, the height of the whale migration season to the warm waters of Baja California Sur. The tennis players witnessed the leaping of these cetaceans on an excursion beyond the Cabo San Lucas Arch.
The record audience indicates a growing interest, which is beneficial for tennis, the event itself, and Los Cabos. This contributes to greater visibility for the players and sponsors involved.

We had a wonderful draw, a magical week of tennis, great matches and the best reached the final, Jordan Thompson and Casper Ruud, who also demonstrated their level in doubles,” said Geoffrey Fernandez, Director of the Mifel Tennis Open by Telcel Oppo.
The date of the Los Cabos Tennis Open 2025 will be announced soon. Undoubtedly, it will be a new celebration of sporting excellence, social events and, above all, a lot of joy.
