Filled with content from many disciplines, this book promotes art, culture and the Baja California Sur environment. It is the result of an ambitious plan to link rural interaction and art. Hence the project’s name, “Rural Interaction and Transdisciplinary Artistic Production in the Sudcalifornian Ranches.”
The title “Formulato” comes from an expression of Southern Californian ranchers referring to the ideal procedure of doing things, finding a formula or method to every action taken in life.
This program provides a space for thinking and unusual production in the community of San Dionisio, located within the Sierra de la Laguna Biosphere Reserve. It also promotes cultural exchanges between temporary residents and those working in the ranches.
On this occasion, 18 artists shared an interpretation of the context and dynamics of the rural environment. Surely this experience will affect how future projects are developed and will create even more.
